In 2022, I had the chance to jump on an XR panel at SAE Institute Perth, where I shared some of the work we’d been doing at Frame Labs and spoke about where I see the XR industry heading. Alongside fellow panellist Natalie Marinho, and hosted by Glenn Spores, we chatted through the realities of building VR and AR projects, the shifting landscape of immersive tech, and the skills that matter most for people trying to break into the space.
In my segment, I walked the audience through a couple of Frame Labs projects, including Rainbow Island Treasure Hunt VR and our Monsters and Misfits work, and shared some practical insights around production, R&D, performance constraints, and what it really looks like working in an emerging platform.
